Solihull Photographic Society

Our long-established Society welcomes members with an interest in photography whatever their level of experience. We cover most types of still photography including digital, prints and audiovisual work. Our activities include talks from well known photographers and we also provide help to those who wish to improve their photographic skills. Club members regularly get together for meetings, trips out, social events and practical sessions.  We also have “Country Membership” for people who live more than 50 miles from Solihull and would not normally be able to attend meetings but might for example want to enter competitions.

With around 50 members , there are plenty of opportunities to meet like-minded people and to gain from their knowledge and experience.

Weekly Meetings Programme

We have weekly meetings, every Wednesday from September until May, with a varied and interesting programme of speakers and club competitions. More details can be found under the Programme heading above.  You can also download a copy of the full programme.

Our door fee for members is £3.50, and for visitors it is £5.00, but if you are visiting with a view to joining our society the first visit is free and the second also if you decide to join us.

Technical Support

We aim to provide technical help and support to members through various means. We have informal technical workshops with a flexible programme providing practical information on a range of photographic techniques. A nominal charge is made to cover costs. We also have equipment available for loan, such as screen calibration tools.
