Next workshop – Creative use of layers and layer masks
Thanks to all those who expressed an interest in the workshop. A slight majority of people favoured Monday 24th October so this is now confirmed. Sorry to those who can’t manage this day. It will be held as normal from 8.00-10.00 pm in the upstairs room of the Methodist Hall and the cost £3.50 through contactless payment to cover expenses.
The workshop will look at some of the basics of using layers and layer masks in photoshop to allow some more creative effects when post processing. Ideally you will need either Photoshop CS or elements, but some other software may be able to give similar effects. If you haven’t got a laptop then hopefully it will still be of use and you may be able to share with someone else. As usual there will be short introduction with slides followed by plenty of time for discussion and practising the techniques on your own laptop
At the moment these are the members who were interested so it would help if you could just confirm that you still plan to come. Others are of course also welcome.

Normally Workshops are held in the Methodist Church Hall next to Solihull Station. The address is Blossomfield Road, Solihull B91 1LG. There is ample parking.
Workshops start at 8pm prompt (so please arrive a few minutes early) and will finish at 10pm. Please pay £3 to cover costs, and bring your own refreshments. The workshop will be held in the upstairs meeting room at the Solihull Methodist Hall next to Solihull Station where there is plenty of parking. The room now has lift access if you need it. The door may be locked for security reasons, if so ring the bell. Remember that direct access from Blossomfield Road into Station Road is no longer possible.
